Digital Transformation Survey
If you’ve just won a prize, thank you for taking part in the Digital Transformation Survey!
The idea behind the survey is demonstrate a custom Fiori process built and run using Stelo, the Arch Fiori framework.
It’s more than a custom Fiori app – much more. The process is like this:

So how does it all work? It begins with a common data schema, that underpins each step of the user-interaction:

This enables data that is collected in the app to be available to the brochure (output form) and email such that dynamic content can be included or excluded, such that everything is tailored for a particular user.
We use Stelo to automatically generate the app in the SAP WebIDE based on the data schema. There’s no gateway service to write as we use the pre-delivered Stelo gateway service.

Custom Fiori app, powered by Stelo
On submission from the app we run a couple of user-exits – to validate names, email addresses and to fix any capitalization errors when the user enters their name.
Then the data is pushed to the SAP back-end, where our process management system decides what the next steps are. In this case, an output form is generated, using Varo. Since this is a tailored brochure, content in the form is dynamically included or excluded based on the choices collected from the app. Also we can add the user’s name and company to the brochure to further personalise it.

Dynamic document output
Next, we generate an email, and again the email content is dynamically driven by the choices made in the app, and data collected shown within the body of the email. We add in some logic to determine a prize, and then we add in the brochure as an attachment and immediately send it.

Tailored email
Once that’s done we send a confirmation message back to the app and the process is complete. The cherry on the cake? Before closing, the app sends a tweet about who won what: a neat end to a fabulous custom process.
Not all custom processes need dynamic document generation, gorgeous emails and social media integration – but this demonstrates what Arch can do – and do easily – with its product suite.
So if you are interested in real transformation then think beyond replacing a SAP transaction with a simplified app, and define something that truly transforms each and every user touch-point in a new business process
