Arch announces availability of the next version of Varo

Varo new version brings Looply integration and Microsoft Teams approvals

Arch has released Varo (FLM) 320, the first major new version of Varo since FLM310 was released in October 2022.

Alongside a range of product enhancements and fixes, FLM320 introduces a significant new capability: out-of-the-box support for Looply, making it easier to extend Varo and Stelo approval processes into Microsoft Teams.

Bring Varo and Stelo approvals into Microsoft Teams

With FLM320, organisations can use Looply to bring approval tasks from Varo and Stelo directly to users in Microsoft Teams.

Rather than relying on approvers to regularly check SAP applications or respond to email notifications, Looply can present the information they need through interactive Teams cards, allowing them to review and action work from within the environment where they are already collaborating.

This provides a straightforward way to improve engagement with form-based SAP business processes while retaining Varo and Stelo as the underlying process and application layer.

Looply can also go beyond simply displaying an approval notification. Approval cards can include relevant business context, present information in a format designed for the decision being made and remain connected to the underlying SAP process.

For organisations already using Varo or Stelo, FLM320 therefore provides a much simpler route to extending those processes into Microsoft Teams.

A new supported release of Varo

FLM320 was released on 25 August 2026 and is covered by Arch standard support until 25 August 2031, with extended support available until 25 August 2032.

This is particularly relevant for customers currently running Varo FLM310.

FLM310 was released on 24 October 2022 and its five-year standard support period ends on 24 October 2027. Customers remaining on FLM310 should therefore start planning their upgrade to FLM320 during the coming year.

Arch supports each Varo release for up to five years, with extended support optionally available for an additional maintenance fee.

  • Stelo attachment handling

Planning your move to FLM320

For customers on FLM310, upgrading to FLM320 both establishes a new five-year support horizon and provides access to the latest Varo capabilities.

For organisations looking to improve the user experience around SAP forms and approvals, the addition of Looply support also creates an opportunity to bring those processes closer to users by making them actionable directly within Microsoft Teams.

If you are running FLM310 and would like to discuss upgrading to FLM320, or would like to see how Varo and Stelo approvals can be extended into Microsoft Teams with Looply, contact the Arch team.
