Sunderland City Council chooses Looply for SAP and Teams integration

Sunderland City Council Enhances HR Approval Process with Arch and Looply Integration

Sunderland City Council has taken a major step in improving its HR and payroll processes by partnering with Arch to integrate SAP workflows into Microsoft Teams via Looply. With over 100,000 submissions processed annually through Time Related Payments, Leave Requests, and Expense Claims, the Council sought to improve the efficiency of manager approvals.

Building on a strong relationship with Arch, Sunderland has successfully implemented Looply to streamline workflow approval processes. Managers can now review, approve, or reject requests directly within Teams, significantly enhancing productivity. This digital transition supports mobile access and leverages existing infrastructure to ensure a seamless, secure experience.

The collaboration is part of Sunderland’s broader digital transformation initiative to reduce manual tasks, improve communication, and provide better services to its 277,000 residents. This effort reflects the Council’s commitment to innovation, using technology to drive operational efficiency in an increasingly demanding environment.
