1. What are the system pre-requisites for Aquiller?

Aquiller runs on any SAP NetWeaver 700 system.

2. How is Aquiller installed on my SAP system?

Aquiller is installed as an ABAP add-on using the standard SAP Add-on Installation Tool (transaction SAINT).
Your SAP Basis team can have Aquiller operational in less than a day.

3. What functionality is included?

Aquiller includes 4 components, Content Builder, Letter Assembler, Letter Writer and Letter Box. See the Features page for more details.

4. Does Aquiller need to be installed on my SAP Business Suite server?

For automatic integration with SAP HCM, Aquiller should be installed on the same server as SAP ERP. Aquiller can be installed on a separate SAP installation for other types of SAP correspondence.

5. Is Aquiller available in the cloud?

Aquiller should be installed on premise or on an S/4 HANA system.

6. How is Aquiller licensed?

Aquiller can be purchased on a perpetual basis or on a subscription basis. The price calcuation is based on the number of employees in the organisation. Contact Arch for a quotation.

7. Is Aquiller a business user tool?

Aquiller is designed to be a business user tool for HCM correspondence. Business users can merge data from SAP info-types or pre-developed variables with letter/document content.

8. What training is required?

Aquiller provides an engaging and intuitive user experience. It is so simple to use, a short online self-service course provides users with all the skills they need in a few hours.

Three training courses are available:

  • Aquiller configuration (1 day)
  • Aquiller Author (1 day)
  • Aquiller Dispatcher (1.5 hours)

HR users who create content should take the Aquiller Author course.

9. How do I access the Aquiller installation and configuration guide?

The Aquiller installation and configuration guide is available through the Arch support site, support.arch-global.com. Access to Arch Support is free for Arch customers.

10. How is Aquiller triggered?

Aquiller can be triggered in many different ways. For example:

  • Output can be manually triggered from the SAP back-end, from ESS/MSS, from a Fiori LaunchPad tile, or from the Aquiller application.
  • Output can be automatically trigger by a background job, by a SAP Workflow, from a web-service, or from any SAP event. Some development is required to trigger the API.

11. How are generated letters secured?

There is an imperative on all organizations to protect and secure their employee information. With Aquiller, standard SAP authorizations control user access for each user, both to the types of correspondence that are relevant and also employee data.

12. How are changes to letter template managed?

Correspondence can be monitored and managed throughout its lifecycle using inherent Aquiller tools. Standard version control, audit trail and archiving all support an enterprise-quality solution.

13. What text editor is used?

Users can choose their own preference for content entry. It is entered manually using a simple text editor that supports complex formatting, or Aquiller’s rich text converter can take paragraphs from Microsoft Word and import them seamlessly.

14. What cost savings can I expect?

Aquiller addresses every aspect of the creation and processing of employee correspondence to minimise the manual effort required.

This means that hours can be saved creating and managing e-mail templates, managing data in separate CRM or e-mail marketing systems, or extracting data and processing mail-merge activity manually.

The result is that customers can readily realize associated cost savings of 50% or more.
